About the photographer

Originally I am from southeastern Kentucky.  I graduated from Transylvania University in 2002 with a B.A. in Psychology.  I completed a M.S. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky in 2003.  Photography is a love of mine that continues to develop stronger with each passing year. Going hand in hand, traveling is my hobby along with photography. I try to make a few trips each year.  My more recent focus has been on wedding photography and developing in that domain. I am blessed with a wonderful family and great friends.

About the pictures

For as long as I can remember, I have had a strong interest in photography.  As a small child I was dressing up my younger twin brother and sister in dress clothes and posing them on blankets outside in an effort to capture images with my child proof camera.  However, it was in my last year of undergraduate experience when my love for photography emerged.  The images I capture are snapshots of life.  I like to record people living life in the moment.  Many of the images for purchase are from my traveling experiences throughout the United States and Europe.  The pictures display snapshots of life that you don’t want to forget.

The viewer

It is the hope that you the viewer can have a sneak peak into a unique culture or lifestyle.  It is a way to indulge your imagination and wonder what the individuals in the picture may be thinking or what life must be like in a different place.  One series of images displays Venice.  In my various visits to Venice, I have found it to be a surreal experience.  Looking at the images allows me to imagine a magical, less stressful lifestyle of wandering the streets of Venice and getting lost for hours. I hope the pictures encourage you to dream.
